Metal-out ESD Shielding bags offer a construction where the metallized polyester film is laminated to the antistatic polyethylene heat sealable inner film such that the metal layer is toward the outside. It is then covered with an anti-abrasive static dissipative coating to protect it. Total thickness of 3.1 mil typical. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
Zip-close metal-out ESD shielding bags are the same as above with a zip-close top. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
Metal-in ESD Shielding bags offer a construction where the metallized polyester film is laminated to the antistatic polyethylene heat sealable inner film such that the metal layer is toward the inside. The exposed polyester outer is static dissipative. Total thickness of 3.0 mil typical. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
Zip-close metal-in ESD shielding bags are the same as above with a zip-close top. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
ESD Shielding Vapor Barrier Bags offer ESD protection along with Moisture Vapor Barrier protection. Typical MVTR (100 sq. in. per day) is 0.02 gms. Total thickness of 3.6 mil typical. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
Antistatic poly bags are pink in color unless otherwise noted. Thickness all 0.004. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
Zip-close antistatic poly bags are the same as above with the addition of a zip-close top. Colors are noted where applicable. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
Antistatic non-corrosive poly bags are green in color to differentiate themselves from other antistatic bags and offer the benefit of improving contact corrosion resistance, particularly to copper, nickel, aluminum, tin and gold. It is also an excellent volatile corrosion inhibitor to copper and steel. Some of these bags have been previously labeled as STATIC SAFE NON-CORROSIVE PACKAGING. Black conductive poly bags are carbon loaded with low resistivities. All are 4 mil in thickness. First dimension denotes opening width, second dimension denotes depth.
4 mil black conductive poly tubing can be used to make your own bags using a heat sealer. The width denotes the opening, and you determine the depth. Roll lengths are 1000-ft.
4 mil black conductive poly sheeting is center folded to 18” and rolled. Expanded, dimensions are 36” x 150-ft.
2mil clear poly bags have no static control properties whatsoever. They are clear and can be used for general purpose packaging where static electricity is not an issue.
Conductive Board Shunts are slipped over leads of PC Boards to shunt all leads to the same potential. One of the oldest ESD control methods and still one of the most effective. Shunts are minimum of 5” long and packed 1000 per box. Shunts can be further cut to size with paper cutter or scissors.
